Do you Qualify to be a Law Enforcement Explorer?

Both male and female young adults are encouraged to join the Explorers.

To join you must meet the following criteria:

• Be between the ages of 14 and 21 years of age
• Graduated from the 8^th grade
• Live in or around Cherokee county
• Be enrolled in school and maintain at least a “C” average or 2.0 GPA
• Be in good standing with the Boys Scouts of America
• Have no criminal record or background
• Be in good standing with the Holly Springs Police Department, officers and staff
• Not be affiliated with any cults, gangs, or organized crime
• Not be using any illegal narcotics of any type
• Not be affiliated with any other Police Explorer post or units (unless transferring)
• Be interested in law enforcement as either a career option or as a personal interest
• Be in good health
• Parental approval (if under the age of 18), including signatures of the Explorer and there parents on a general liability release form
• Be able to maintain a neat appearance and manner in compliance with the policies of the Holly Springs Police Department
